2007 in Review

Swedenborg Hall played host to a number of notable performances and events in 2007. The following are just a few of them.

TheatreSports

This comedy improv troupe had regular performances at Swedenborg Hall in 2007, although they are presently disbanded/on-hiatus.

The End of Death

Swedenborg Hall's Playwright-in-Residence, Janet Tiger, was commissioned to write THE END OF DEATH as part of the Artist-in-Residency program, which had its World Premiere at Swedenborg Hall.

Trial of the Catonsville 9

In October 2007, The Sullivan Players presented a staged reading of Daniel Berrigan's play Trial of the Catonsville Nine, based on the true-life story of nine catholic priests and lay people who broke in and stole official draft records and burned them as protest during the Vietnam Era. The play was directed by DJ Sullivan.

The 2007 University Heights Arts Open

Swedenborg Hall once again played host to the University Heights Arts Open and had performances on the stage as well as upstairs at the Church. Works by local artists were featured throughout both spaces.
