In basic terms, San Diego TheatreSports™ is an improvisational theatre company. We produce interactive, on-the-spot theatre without a script. We have become a leader in the improvised art of storytelling, playing the tried and true formats of Keith Johnstone (our founder), as well as creating new, exciting forms.
You don't just see a SDTS show, you experience it. Every night is different, created based on audience suggestions. Laugh with us. We dare you.
Two teams of improvisers compete against each other to present the best improvised scenes and songs. The audience judges the match, and one team emerges victorious. This format is the original competitive improvisational show. Created by improv guru Keith Johnstone over 25 years ago, it is the most performed improv in the world.
