University Heights Arts Open
Swedenborg Hall is one of the primary location's hosting the 3rd Annual University Heights Arts Open and EGGstravaganza.
The two-day festival will be held September 15-16, 2007, from Noon to 6:00pm, and will feature visual arts, musicians, writers, and performing artists from the area.
One of this year's special features is the 2007 Arts Open EGGstravaganza where artists from the area have turned ostrich eggs into works of art that will be auctioned off. If you weren't aware of it, the ostrich is one of the official symbols of the University Heights neighborhood because an ostrich farm was once a prominent feature of the area.
The University Heights Art Association promotes and supports the artists and community of University Heights. A primary goal of the UHAA is to develop public awareness of the artistic community of University Heights. The Swedenborgian Church of San Diego's Swedenborg Hall is proud to be a partner in this annual event.
